What is the effluent reuse process?

Effluent reuse is the process of recycling effluent for beneficial use. Effluent is wastewater, municipal, industrial, and other, which has been previously treated by means of various wastewater treatment processes – solids, organic contaminations, and other pollutants were (vastly) removed.

When effluent is used as feed water in the water treatment plant, we refer to this plant as a water reuse or effluent reuse plant.
